Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, placed on the top of a tooth. Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth's function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. When decay in a tooth has become so advanced that large portions of the tooth must be removed, crowns are often used to restore the tooth. Read More...

Preventive Dentistry
Our goal is to not just fix problems but to prevent future ones from occurring.  At your initial hygiene visit, you can expect to see one of our three hygienists for a full dental screening. This visit will include:

Implants
Implants are synthetic structures that are placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root. Implants are anchored to the jawbone or metal framework on the bone and act as a foundation for an artificial tooth or permanent bridge. In some cases, implants can be used to attach dentures. Dental Emergencies
We see emergency patients same day, even new patients. Whether it's dental pain keeping you up at night, a swollen face due to an infected tooth,  a chipped tooth, a broken denture, or a crown has come out, give us a call. Our office is open Monday-Saturday, including two evenings. We offer a broad range of dental services, and therefore we will not only assess your dental emergency, but in most cases start treatment the same day. Of course, our goal is to help you to minimize the risk of emergency treatment. This is why we commit a generous amont of time designing a Lifetime Treatment Plan that will help you to offset the possibility of unforseen pain or tooth breakage. Read More...

Toothaches
Don't let a toothache ruin your day or your vacation. Our office is open Monday-Saturday, including two evenings. We see emergency patients same day, even new patients. We offer a broad range of dental services, and therefore we will not only assess the cause of your toothache, but in most cases start treatment the same day. Simple toothaches can sometimes be relieved by rinsing the mouth to clear it of debris and other matter. Sometimes, a toothache can be caused or aggravated by a piece of debris lodged between the tooth and another tooth. Avoid placing an aspirin between your tooth and gum to relieve pain, because the dissolving aspirin can actually harm your gum tissue. Read More...

Orthodontic Care/ Invisalign

An Orthodontist has 2-3 years of specialized training beyond dental school and is a specialist at straightening teeth and insuring proper form and function. Orthodontists create dazzling smiles and offer solutions for every lifestyle and budget.  Dental Associates of Cape Cod offers a full range of orthodontic care including braces and Invisalign.  The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children see an orthodontist no later than age seven.

At Dental Associates of Cape Cod, Dr. Daniel Varallo offers a full range of orthodontic treatment for both children and adults. He offers several cosmetic options for banding including Damon and ceramic brackets. Dr. Varallo also offers Invisalign and Invisalign Teen. Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth, without braces. Dr. Varallo is the ONLY Elite Preferred Invisalign provider on Cape Cod.  Dr. Varallo offers FREE orthodontic consultations.

What Is The Ideal Age To See An Orthodontist?

  • The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children be evaluated at age 7, or younger if a problem is noted.
  • This enables the orthodontist to guide your child's jaw and teeth during their most active growing stages.
  • Research has shown that facial development can be most affected between the ages of 7 and 11.

These Behaviors May Also Warrant Early Orthodontic Treatment:

  • Grinding of teeth
  • Popping or clicking of the jaws or any difficulty chewing
  • Breathing with an open mouth
  • Habits which involve placing fingers or objects in the mouth
  • Difficulty closing lips over teeth (when child smiles they appear to show too much gum)

Early Treatment Can Prevent:

  • Crowding and the extraction of permanent teeth
  • Surgery to correct jaw malalignments
  • Unsightly facial imbalance
  • Braces at an older age
  • Poor self-esteem resulting from crooked teeth

Please call today to schedule your FREE orthodontic consultation with Dr. Daniel Varallo.

Invisalign

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth, without braces. It works through a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners. By using this series of clear removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth right before your eyes. Change them about every 2 weeks, your teeth will move-little by little, week by week-until they have moved to the final position Dr. Varallo has prescribed.

Invisalign is an invisible solution. So you won't draw undue attention to your mouth while in treatment. In fact, virtually no one will know you're wearing them unless you tell. Comfortable to wear, our aligners are also removable so you can eat, drink, brush, and floss as usual.

 Zoom! Professional Bleaching

Do You Want to Zoom!™?
The in-office whitening system is a revolutionary tooth whitening dentistry procedure, it's safe, effective and fast, very fast. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. The convenience of our treatment in comparison to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual. Zoom!™ Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results.

How Zoom!™ Works!
The Zoom!™ light-activated gel was developed after years of research by Discus Dental, the leaders in professional take-home tooth whitening dentistry. The gel is a scientifically formulated, pH balanced Hydrogen Peroxide that, when activated by the laser light, gently penetrates the teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration. With proper care and an occasional touch -up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.

The whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. We then apply the proprietary whitening gel which is activated by a specially designed light.

Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure.

You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.
