Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting of existing oral conditions as well as needed treatment, periodontal probing, oral cancer screening, head and neck examination,  and diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take necessary x-rays.

Implants

Preventive Dentistry
Our goal is to not just fix problems but to prevent future ones from occurring.  At your initial hygiene visit, you can expect to see one of our three hygienists for a full dental screening. This visit will include:

• Digital X-rays
• Dental Prophylaxis (if applicable)
• Periodontal Evaluation
• Head and Neck Examination
• Oral Cancer Screening

You may also expect to see one of our two doctors for an examination, at which treatment for your specific dental needs will be discussed.

Orthodontic Care/ Invisalign

An Orthodontist has 2-3 years of specialized training beyond dental school and is a specialist at straightening teeth and insuring proper form and function. Orthodontists create dazzling smiles and offer solutions for every lifestyle and budget.  Dental Associates of Cape Cod offers a full range of orthodontic care including braces and Invisalign.  The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children see an orthodontist no later than age seven. Dr. Varallo obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University. He received his Master of Science degree and completed his residency in orthodontics at Indiana University. He has been a practicing orthodontist since 1995. Dr. Varallo maintains memberships with the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He also enjoys volunteer work with the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Invisalign

 Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth, without braces. It works through a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that by using a series of clear removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth right before your eyes. Change them about every 2 weeks, your teeth will move-little by little, week by week-until they have moved to the final position Dr. Varallo has prescribed.
